The new logo was designed by Lonnie Walker of Prospect, Kentucky. He was the winner of the Lions contest to design a new logo.
The logo will be officially unveiled today at 12:30pm by team officials at the Dunham's Sporting Goods at 12 Mile Rd. and John R.
The event will be hosted by 97.1 FM's Jay Towers. The event will include appearances by Detroit Lions players Jason Hanson, Calvin Johnson, Kevin Smith, Dominic Raiola and Ernie Sims.
Billy Sims is not expected to show up...(BOOMER!).
